Boudoir By Ego

Boudoir (pronounced, “bü-dwär”) is photography of a sensual nature. Boudoir photography can be sweet, sexy or provocative. Subjects can be fully clothed, partially clothed, partially nude during the session. Many subjects prefer the mystery of the implied nude. Implied nude is when a subject is nude, yet all sensitive areas are obscured from view by cloth, sheets or shadows, leaving a lot to the imagination.

Boudoir photography creates an illusion. Hair, makeup, costuming and the setting all collaborate with the photographer’s photography style, lighting style, and editing techniques to create a final image representative of the fantasy the subject wishes to express. Styles of boudoir photography can include Maxim or Playboy-like color photography, modern and dramatic black and white, soft and glamourous “Old Hollywood”, and of course, vintage-style “Pin up”.

Unlike other portrait sessions, boudoir photography takes a highly specialized expertise for posing, lighting and overall client comfort during the session.
